About Element Detroit Troy Maple Laboratory
Element Detroit Troy Maple provides advanced automotive durability, fatigue, and structural performance testing for passenger cars, light trucks, buses, off-highway, heavy equipment, utility, and military vehicles.
Operating since 1976, the Troy Maple facility is one of the largest independent automotive testing laboratories in North America and is a preferred supplier to leading OEMs and Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
The laboratory specializes in component and system durability testing, full-vehicle and subsystem structural evaluations, real-time simulation (including MAST and multi-axis fatigue), engine and powertrain testing, and load-versus-displacement characterization.
Troy Maple supports high-cycle, block-cycle, low-cycle, torsional, and multi-axis fatigue programs, as well as custom test rig development for unique or complex components. Environmental conditioning is available for most durability programs to replicate road, climate, and operational stresses.
Testing capabilities extend across suspension systems, steering components, axles, hitches, frames, chassis systems, and structural hardware. With dedicated dual MAST setups, 4-/6-post testing configurations, and specialized dyno support, the laboratory provides comprehensive validation for automotive development cycles.
Serving more than 200 customers, Element Detroit Troy Maple combines engineering expertise, advanced test systems, and proven program delivery to accelerate component readiness and ensure reliable, safe vehicle performance.
